The role
Job Purpose:
The Compliance Team is looking for a Compliance Officer in Zurich to assist with the implementation local regulations and work within the Global Compliance Team of more than 20 employees based around the world.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to handle topics and be part of a team solution. The candidate will be exposed to a range of both local and global regulations and is expected to have an ambition for understanding and interpreting complex topics.
The candidate will have a unique opportunity to learn about the essential business functions of a regulated investment manager (Ardian Investment Switzerland) and how it operates within the Ardian Group. They will be responsible for implementing the control system and creating the relevant policies and procedures as they relate to the regulated activity of the office.
Job Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the regulatory developments in Switzerland.
- They will responsible for creating policies, procedures in order to meet regulatory requirements, such as FinSA, FIDLEG, and AMLO-FINMA. They should have knowledge of the general European regulations such as MiFID and AIFMD.
- Responsible for implementing and contributing to the development and effectiveness of the control programme and overseeing its execution.
- Prepare and assist with the creation of Compliance Reports that will be provided to senior staff on a periodic basis. They will be expected to present these reports at Board meetings.
- Attend and analyse the documentation related to the investment committees relating to the Swiss activity.
- Creating dedicated Swiss E-learnings on various regulatory topics and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Maintaining relevant Compliance logs for Switzerland (gifts, trading accounts, outside business activities).
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings for submissions to FINMA.
- Work as part of the Global Compliance Team, ensuring that global policies and procedures are met and followed accordingly.
- Working with various teams, promoting the development of a Compliance culture within ARDIAN to proactively raise awareness of regulatory topics and developments and their applicability to AIS and the Group.
- The Swiss Compliance Officer will report to the Compliance Managing Director based in France.

- Strong attention to detail, analytical and independent thinker and problem solver
- Proactive and organized with an ability to work concurrently on multiple work streams
- Good technical skills and a broad range of compliance capabilities across a range of areas
- The successful candidate must have the capability and knowledge to influence and advise senior management within Ardian Switzerland and the Group
- Must be a team player, able to communicate well within the team and with other teams
- Ability to challenge independently and constructively to achieve our goals
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing at all levels of the organization
- Capability to work autonomously and tackle issues and ability to know when to escalate accordingly
Profile
- Strong educational background with a university degree
- Preferably 5+ years post qualification experience in the compliance and regulatory field with financial services and particularly in international asset management
- Experience at a Swiss Asset Manager is preferred but not essential
- Experience working with a Regulatory agency is preferred but not essential
